Here at The Roost, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We’re determined to be part of the solution, not the problem.
Our carefully curated range of products is manufactured almost exclusively by local domestic and European manufacturers. We select only the highest-quality products that are designed to last. We also look carefully at how our suppliers operate. We work very closely with our suppliers to ensure that their manufacturing processes and supply chains are managed responsibly to minimise the environmental and social impact. All of our suppliers act responsibly and some are proactive in the ways they help the environment.
Technology is integral to our approach. By giving our customers the power to filter and find their ideal products, we empower them to make their own decisions on sustainability and other factors (such as price, colour and delivery times). And our sector-leading visualisation software offers a ‘try before you buy’ option. This eliminates the need for returns – the leading cause of waste in the furniture industry. We’ve also partnered with the British Heart Foundation* to find new homes for unwanted items.
As an online-only platform, our business model allows us to minimise our own environmental impact. With no shops or warehouses to maintain, we can dramatically cut our carbon footprint, and yours.

Free Furniture Collection Service
The Roost and British Heart Foundation have teamed up to offer a free furniture collection service to help you find a new home for your unwanted items. It’s easy to book a collection slot at a time to suit you. The charity’s local team will come to your home to pick up your pre-loved item(s) and then take it to be resold in one of over 180 British Heart Foundation stores across the UK.
Donate your furniture to a great cause and help us make a difference. All donated items must be in a reusable and saleable condition, with no wear and tear or heavy stains, and upholstery items must have a valid fire safety label fully attached. So, give your furniture a new lease of life and help fund life-saving research into heart and circulatory diseases.
