Its founder Sophie Garnier moved to Burma in 2015 and launched Kalinko to connect Burma’s skilled artisans to those seeking beautiful, lovingly handcrafted homeware. Few of their makers have access to international markets and most struggle to sell their products locally. The brand is closing the gap between average income and the real living wage for these craftspeople.
