"We first met Safomasi when we were drawn to their colourful exhibition stand at Focus/24 in the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. After chatting with them about their brand and story, and looking through all their beautiful fabrics we knew we wanted to pursue working with them on something fun collaboratively, so we decided to reach out and set a creative meeting to discuss ideas."
SAFOMASI
"We remember meeting Hayley and Martin, seeing pictures of their vibrant, colourful furniture and swapping stories about working together as a couple. So, when they got in touch, we were thrilled at the idea of working together to create something special."

"The best part for us was working with another husband-and-wife team, since we are one too! Sarah & Maninder tell such wonderful stories through their fabrics in a similar way that we do with our furniture. Handcrafted with personality, colour & craftsmanship in mind."
SAFOMASI
"Collaborations are always fun because they give us a glimpse into how other creatives work – especialy when they're also a couple in work and life like us! We share a similar ethos and love of colour, and was a great chance to see things from a different perspective and gain fresh ideas on our own designs."

"For us it was the legs we sourced for this collection. We wanted something a little different that would complement the fabric designs and tie into the story behind the pieces. Bamboo felt like the perfect choice - it's a material deeply rooted in Indian design and everyday life, and in Vastu Shastra - the traditional Indian system of architecture – symbolising luck, growth, and positive energy. Using it alongside Safomasi's Delhi-inspired prints created a subtle but meaningful connection between the furniture and the fabrics."
SAFOMASI
"The versatile option to include mini bolsters on the Pine Bench is such a lovely touch - they really add character and style, finishing the piece beautifully and making it customisable also."

Q4. WERE THERE ANY MEMORIES OR INSPIRATIONS THAT HELPED GUIDE YOUR FABRIC CHOICE?
FOX & FURB
"From the moment we received our samples from Safomasi we were blown away by the fabric quality and richness of the colours. The Lodhi Garden design stood out straight away, so we used it as a starting point and then pulled in fabrics that complemented its earthy tones. Combining Lodhi with Pine and adding the geometric Charbagh print in a warm brown gave the collection a grounded, soulful feel."
SAFOMASI
"Our designs are all inspired by our travels, so each one has its own story. For this collaboration, we were happy for Fox & Furb to take the lead and choose the designs that spoke to them, and we were delighted when they picked fabrics from our India-inspired Lodhi Garden and Himalayan collections. They complement each other beautifully, and we were so excited to see them come to life on larger pieces."

FOX & FURB
"We hope this collection brings joy and connection into people’s homes. Each piece tells the story of two husband-and-wife designers - Safomasi through their narrative-rich fabrics and us through our playful, handcrafted furniture. We aimed to come together to create designs which not only look beautiful but also feel considered, timeless, and thoughtfully made and feel we have achieved just that."
SAFOMASI
"Pattern is a brilliant way to bring colour, character, and personality into a space. With our fabrics on this collection, we hope to bring storytelling, character, and joy into the home."

Q6. THERE'S A VERY CREATIVE APPROACH WHEN WORKING ON A COLLABORATIVE COLLECTION. WHAT MADE THIS PROJECT FUN OR DIFFERENT TO WORK WITH?
FOX & FURB
"What made this collaboration really fun was the creative process itself. We were able to sit down together over zoom calls and in person, play with the samples and experiment with different combinations. It felt hands-on and collaborative with everyone involved together from the start. We introduced our Fox & Furb signature contrast piping, but adapted it differently so the tones worked seamlessly with Safomasi’s fabrics. That balance of their storytelling prints with our playful detailing made the whole design process feel fresh and exciting."
SAFOMASI
"Working with Hayley and Martin was a dream. It’s been a lot of fun bouncing ideas off each other (through Zoom and endless voice notes!), the process has been really open and collaborative. It was really rewarding to see the final pieces come together at the photoshoot - we’re very proud of it."

Q7. DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE FROM THE LINEUP? OR IS THAT AN IMPOSSIBLE CHOICE?
FOX & FURB
"It's incredibly difficult to choose as we love each and every piece we've created, but if I had to choose one I would say the Pine bench. We loved creating a new product with the added feature of the removable bolster cushions, bringing in our love of creating multi-functional pieces to this collaboration. This along with the fabric/leg combination just worked beautifully, exactly as we envisioned."
Q7. DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE FROM THE LINEUP?
OR IS THAT AN IMPOSSIBLE CHOICE?
SAFOMASI
"A tough question, but as Delhi was our home for many years, the Lodhi Garden Ottoman is definitely a favourite. The illustrated fabric is one of our most personal designs and makes such a beautiful statement piece. That said, we’re always fans of a pouffe. We have several at home that we use as extra seating, a little side table… they’re endlessly versatile and useful."
