Mexican artist Berenice Hernandez references her artistic heritage through the art print Azahares (Orange Blossom). Channeling the graphic and bold forms of Mexican pop art, Hernadez has focused on her favourite flower and the sweet citrus scents they produce. The double ended orange blossom forms a flowing central motif, its soft tone off-setting the graphic composition. Set within a colourful border, the work is both bold yet calming, complete with the textures of the canvas and raw cotton fibre backdrop on which Hernadez paints.
