Describe your interiors style in three words...

"Traditional, colourful, collected."

What is a piece you would always invest in?

"I would always choose to invest in a piece of art or a painting. It has the power to transform the atmosphere of a space, drawing the eye and infusing the room with a sense of wonder and discovery."

Whats your current design obsession?

"English and Dutch delftware polychrome plates from the 18th and 19th century."

Your no-fail styling trick?

"Don't be tempted to push all the furniture against the walls. Instead, work with the space – use your pieces to create zones and define areas, and don't be afraid to fill the room. You might be surprised at how dramatically it will transform the atmosphere."

What is the room that says the most about you?

"It's probably my kitchen – small but cosy – filled with antique plates and paintings. There's also a large, framed silk scarf featuring two cockerels that I absolutely adore; it never fails to steal a smile."
