Materials

100% high quality Lambswool yarn. Merinos have been specially bred to produce the softest and finest wool. As well as being delightful to the touch, their lambswool can be recycled, it’s compostable and biodegradable, and therefore leaving no detrimental effects on the environment.

About Chickpea

CHICKPEA was founded by textile designer and maker Harriett Grist, who started her business in a small garden studio in Winchester. With a deep passion for textiles and craftsmanship, Harriett's creative journey began early, inspired by her mother, a former dressmaker, who taught her the value of handmade quality. Today, Harriett draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including everyday objects, the geometric shapes of stationery, and the vibrant colours and textures of the natural world.

The name CHICKPEA holds personal significance, stemming from affectionate nicknames Harriett and her two sisters shared - 'chicken' and 'pea.' While the brand name reflects her family ties, Harriett’s designs are also deeply connected to her sense of home. Many of her products are named after roads or historical figures associated with Winchester, grounding the brand in its origins.

How long will it take to get my orders?

Please refer to the estimated lead time on each product page. You can find this under the 'Delivery & Returns' dropdown. We will try our best to get your order to you within this lead time, but occasionally, especially during bank holidays, your products may take a little longer to arrive. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive your tracking information by email.

What do I do if I need to return a product?
