Stylish, subtle, and shallow soapstone dish. Hand carved in Kenya by skilled artisans, this smooth stoneware is easy on the eye and suits everyone's tastes. Our versatile shallow dish is perfect for accessorising your kitchen, holding small items such as keys or jewellery, use as a soap dish, trinket tray, and more.

Available in two sizes. The marbled pink colourway can arrive in varying tones from pretty peach to speckled rose pink.

Soapstone is a beautifully tactile metamorphic rock with a marble-like appearance. The natural variations in the surface are part of its distinctive charm. Soapstone is a natural material; therefore, each piece will have varied colours and patterns.

Our soapstone products are polished and treated with natural beeswax.

WHO MADE YOUR SOAPSTONE CARVING?

All of our contemporary soapstone products are hand carved in a small town in the South West of Kenya. Our products are carved by a youth self-help group, founded in 1996 with 40 members.

Delivery & Returns

Delivery time: < 1 week
Returns: As an online store we appreciate that from time to time you may order an item then be unhappy with your chosen product. In this case, we offer to replace, exchange or refund the item provided you have emailed us at returns@theroost.com within 7 days of receiving the item to let us know.
You must then have returned the item(s) to us in *Saleable Condition* within 14 days of receiving the item. Please note that we cannot refund until we have received the item. Orders will be refunded in full, minus the cost paid for shipping in the original transaction. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty.
IMPORTANT - Please make sure you return your items to us via a tracked delivery service, please note that we can not be responsible for any returns that go missing so do ensure you choose a postage method with adequate insurance. Please include your original invoice and a completed returns slip inside the package. If you have not received a returns slip with your order please email us so we can send one to you.
