No.065 - Golden Bough II - Vintage Archive Poster Prints
Golden Bough II
An enchanting depiction of the Willow Tree, this delicate scenic print designed in 1925, has strong links to both Greek, Celtic and Roman mythology.
Greek & Celtic traditions cherished it for its close association with water, the moon and the Goddess Hecate. The Willow Tree was believed to enhance psychic abilities and to offer deep insights, while it’s strength and flexibility were seen as a metaphor for the path of the spiritual.
In Roman mythology, it was the Golden Bough, a tree branch with golden leaves, that enabled the Trojan hero, Aeneas to travel through the underworld safely.
This archive print has been lovingly restored and reproduced using digital printing and ethically sourced materials.
