A large and striking mid-century modernist style nude figurative painting, executed in oil onto board.

A female nude figure seated on a chair punctuates the center of the composition. She is positioned in a relaxed pose, yet her lack of facial features lends an air of mystery. The background is striking, dominated by a large block of red, which contrasts harmoniously with smaller panels of blue and green that both have yellow undertones.

The artist has used short and expressive brushstrokes, creating a lightly textured surface. Colours are layered thoughtfully, blending the bold with the subdued, resulting in a painting that evokes a soothing quality amidst vibrant energy.
