WHO MADE YOUR BOWL?
AARVEN's contemporary wooden products are hand carved in a Nairobi workshop run by one of the founders of the popular Maasai Market in Westlands, Zephania.

These items are made from Wild Olive wood that is all sustainably sourced from Zephania’s own plantations in his hometown, Kissi, where he continually re-plants trees.

CARE

Olive wood has an excellent reputation for being harder and less porous than other woods. We recommend hand washing your wooden utensils with a mild washing up liquid and warm water. Avoid boiling water and dishwashers as high temperatures may cause the wood to expand and split. Always towel dry after washing to prevent moisture cracks.

Treat your handmade wooden utensils once a month with a food safe mineral oil (we like to use olive oil). Simply rub in a small amount with a soft cloth to condition the wood and restore its warm, polished look.

*The same measures apply to wooden utensils with horn or bone accents.

• Returns: As an online store we appreciate that from time to time you may order an item then be unhappy with your chosen product. In this case, we offer to replace, exchange or refund the item provided you have emailed us at returns@theroost.com within 7 days of receiving the item to let us know. 
• You must then have returned the item(s) to us in *Saleable Condition* within 14 days of receiving the item. Please note that we cannot refund until we have received the item. Orders will be refunded in full, minus the cost paid for shipping in the original transaction. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty. 
• IMPORTANT - Please make sure you return your items to us via a tracked delivery service, please note that we can not be responsible for any returns that go missing so do ensure you choose a postage method with adequate insurance. Please include your original invoice and a completed returns slip inside the package. If you have not received a returns slip with your order please email us so we can send one to you. Returns sent without any order information cannot be refunded.
