About Kalinko

Kalinko is an impact-led homeware brand from Burma. Its founder Sophie Garnier moved to Burma in 2015 and launched Kalinko to connect Burma’s skilled artisans to those seeking beautiful, lovingly handcrafted homeware. Few of their makers have access to international markets and most struggle to sell their products locally. The brand is closing the gap between average income and the real living wage for these craftspeople. The collection ranges from recycled hand-blown glassware to rattan accessories, reclaimed teak furniture and hand-woven cushion covers. Combining time-honoured craft with contemporary design, Kalinko’s accessories and furniture are your next favourite homeware find.

Visit our Trade Application page to create a trade account and enjoy trade discounts across our collection. Feel free to email us at hello@theroost.com if you need something more quickly. We've helped decorate hotels, Airbnbs, offices and residential spaces.

Can I visualise the item I'm interested in purchasing?

Yes, this is The Roost's special feature for customers. On The Roost, you can visualise items before you buy them with our Visualiser Tool. You can 'try before you buy' at an accurate scale, so you'll know whether an item fits next to another. Test paints and wallpaper, a gallery wall, or how a rug looks underneath a sofa.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, we can ship most items worldwide. If you add an item to checkout and shipping costs don't automatically apply, feel free to reach out to hello@theroost.com to receive a shipping quote.

How long will it take to get my orders?

Please refer to the estimated lead time on each product page. You can find this under the 'Delivery & Returns' dropdown. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive your tracking information by email.

What do I do if I need to return a product?
