Composition & Care

Materials & finishes: Natural rattan in a teak finish

Care: Rattan is a natural material, so please refrain from the use of harsh chemicals when cleaning. We recommend using simply using a clean damp cloth, followed immediately with a dry cloth. We recommend to use a low heat light bulb for any of our rattan shades.

Delivery & Returns

If in stock, this will be delivered within one week. If it's on backorder, then your item will be delivered to your door within 4-6 weeks.

We want you to be happy with any Hastshilp item you have purchased or received as a gift. If you are not happy with the item for any reason, please return the item in the same condition and original packaging within 30 days and we will be delighted to give you a full refund.

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Contact us by email at returns@theroost.com with your order number and details of the issue.

Please note that Hastshilp's rattan, bamboo and cane items are made by hand using natural materials. This means no item will be the same and may have natural markings, varying colouring and “imperfections” in different places, and may also vary in size by up to 2cm.

Their bespoke designs are drawn by hand in the UK and then sent to a team in India to be brought to life. All their products are handmade in a small town in Northern India, where co-founder Aadil is originally from, by a family whose skills have been passed down through generations.

As each item is handcrafted by independent artisans, and due to natural materials and the traditional process of working with cane, no two items will be exactly the same. You can be sure that your piece is a true one-off. That’s what makes Hastshilp so special.
